The L.R. Wilson Hall for Studies in Humanities and Social Sciences is an approximately 175,000 sq. ft. Humanities and Social Science building for McMaster University. The building is located at the edge of a residential neighbourhood and forms a gateway into the campus.
The project includes a 350-seat Concert Hall and associated support spaces, a black box theatre, a 400-seat lecture theatre, several interactive classrooms of varying size, community outreach spaces, graduate and research spaces, and student support spaces. Unique and specialized labs will be incorporated into the design, including NeuroVox Lab, a Language Memory and Brain Lab, a Phonetics Lab, a Music Lab, an Eye Tracking Lab, and a Centre for the Study of Language across Lifespan.
