The 311,500 square foot housing community is setting a new standard for seniors housing and care in Ontario. This LEED Silver project was the first complete continuum of care in the province offering all levels of care ‘under one roof.’ The design of this project is set up in a campus or ‘community within a community’ style and features 144 LTC beds, 42 Assisted Living Units, 40 one and two bedroom Affordable Housing Apartments (10% completely barrier-free), 40 Life-Lease units arranged in four styles of 1 and 2 bedroom suites (10% completely barrier-free), an 8 bed Hospice unit, an Adult Day Care facility as well as 17 detached and semi-detached Garden Homes. At the heart of the community, the Georgian Rendezvous Village Centre stands as the gathering spot for the community to come together and enjoy a variety of social and recreational spaces including an Adult Day Care Centre, Worship Centre, Fireplace Lounge, Tuck Shop, Hair Salon, Central Dining & Village Café as well as a communal Library Resource Centre/computer room. Raising the bar for seniors care in Ontario, this innovative age-in-place model is the future of housing / services for seniors and provides them with access to a continuum of care and housing options on one campus.
