This ambitious urban revitalization project focuses on the transformation of Nelson Mandela Park Elementary School, a historic building located in the centre of the Regent Park Community.
Designed to achieve LEED Silver, the project consists of extensive renovations and additions to the K-8 school to accommodate 660 pupil places, a full day kindergarten, and a City of Toronto Child Care Centre. This will be built in conjunction with a new City of Toronto Community Centre and Employment Centre, also designed by CS&P. The Community Centre is intended to be constructed and interconnected with the renovated school to create a highly integrated and vibrant community hub.
