The University of Windsor is moving several faculties to initiate a new downtown campus within the existing urban fabric of downtown Windsor. The project includes the renovation and adaptation of three existing heritage structures to enhance the revitalization of the city core. The School of Social Work and the Centre for Executive and Professional Education will move into a fully rebuilt structure formed by the heritage street facades of the Windsor Star Building. The new highly integrated collaborative arts facility will establish a new downtown arts precinct by inhabiting both the historic Windsor Armouries and a re-constructed Greyhound Bus Depot across the street.
